MT Acquisitions expands aerospace facilities in Shelby Township

More space for aerospace is coming to Macomb County now that MT Acquisitions is investing to expand its facilities in Shelby Township.

The Troy-based aerospace firm is investing $6.2 million to build a new high bay facility that will support the company's work in commercial and defense projects. The added space expands the company’s machining capabilities and allows to compete in more niche areas.

MT Acquisitions plans to hire 72 people over the next decade at the facility. The Michigan Economic Growth Authority approved $2 million in tax incentives for the project. MT Acquisitions choose Michigan over another site in Texas.
