"There is something that many great cities have in common: a close relationship between the central city and its neighbors," says Matt Anderson and Luke Emeott of Allied Fabrication Systems. "It is often too easy for surrounding cities to dismiss a central city as unneeded, or for a central city to close itself off from its suburbs. Great cities overcome these instincts."
Inspired by this sentiment, Anderson and Emeott have created the "Detroit Metro Map," a patchwork print that ties together the cities and towns that us all part of the region known as Detroit.
