A discussion at Bamboo Detroit NEIdeas
Last week, we launched
our yearlong series about the fast-growing "gazelle" companies that are scaling in metro Detroit and driving our region's transition to the new economy. On Thursday, April 16, join Metromode, Model D, and Southeast Michigan Startup at Bamboo Detroit (1442 Brush St.) for
Scaling up in the Food Industry, a special panel event where local food entrepreneurs will discuss their experiences growing businesses in the region.
Network over drinks and local food starting at 6 p.m. The panel discussion will begin promptly at 7 p.m., followed by a Q&A and networking session.
The discussion will be moderated by Devita Davison, co-director and chief cultivator of
Foodlab Detroit.
The featured panelists are:
Jess McClary, founder of
McClary Bros. Drinking Vinegar
Lydia Gutierrez, owner of
Hacienda Mexican Foods
Michael Ansley, CEO of
Diversified Restaurant Holdings (including downtown's Bagger Dave's Burger Tavern and Buffalo Wild Wings)
This event is a part of the Year of the Gazelle, an exploration of the fastest-growing startups in Southeast Michigan by the Startup team and New Economy Initiative for Southeast Michigan (NEI). Stories and events in this series focus on entrepreneurs growing fast, offering vital tips and information for companies looking to scale in Metro Detroit.
