AAPharmaSyn to double staff to 8

AAPharmaSyn LLC, a young Biotech company in Ann Arbor, has been awarded a contract that will enable it to grow its company from four scientist to eight.

AAPharmaSyn offers custom drug design, synthesis and consulting for pharmaceutical companies. Former Pfizer scientist Helen Lee co-founded the company in 2006 after she was downsized from Pfizer in 2005.

Last fall, the company was awarded $750,000 from the state's 21st Century Jobs Fund to grow the company; so far it has received $250,000.
