Sterling Heights-based
AQABA (say a-kab-a) has landed some new clients and added two employees to their local staff, bringing the total to four. The company also employs 35 in its Pune, India office, which handles most of its international work. President Ramsey Sweis estimates that, "in our Michigan office, 65% of our business is Michigan-based."
AQABA is a full-service web company with a specialization in search engine marketing (SEM).
Storage Pros recently signed up with the firm for SEM services as well as website development. The company is Michigan-based, but also operates storage facilities in Massachusetts. Another new client, Sports Matrix, hired AQABA for the development of a website -- specializing in freelance sports photography merchandise -- that is optimized for search engine relevance.
Sweis says that is his company's bailiwick. "We enhance your visibility on-line." He says that more important than merely boosting the number of visitors, AQABA drives the right "type" of visitors: those likely to make a purchase, inquiry or transaction.
Business is growing. This year, the company’s fourth in business, has seen an increase in revenue of 300% and Sweis anticipates even more next year. New team members include Rick Dodaj as director of sales and marketing and Adam Sgammotta as project manager and engineer.
