Making Michigan’s new incentives for film projects work the best for
local businesses and municipalities will be at the heart of a forum
Sept. 10 in downtown Detroit.
The "When Hollywood Comes to Town"
symposium will be held in the Guardian Building and will focus on
making cities as film-friendly as possible. The event will teach
business and governments how best to deal with Hollywood and streamline
the whole process.
Discussion topics will include an overview of
the new film incentives, a discussion of what location scouts and
managers are looking for, working with the media and what communities
and businesses can do to promote themselves to the film industry.
Municipal representatives can attend for free and members of the general public can attend for $99. For information, click
