German biotech firm considers opening training center in A2

German biotech firm Genomatix Software is strongly considering opening a training center in Ann Arbor that would initially employ 3-5.

Excerpt:

[CEO Dr. Thomas] Werner said Genomatix hopes to expand to about 40 employees within three years. He said those employees could be spread out among additional training centers at other locations in the United States.

"We're almost set on going to Michigan, most likely Ann Arbor, but not yet decided," Werner said. The company offers genomic research software and databasing services and conducts its own gene research.

Genomatix has an extensive customer base that includes the University of Michigan and Wayne State University.
