GlobalHue to add 25 local jobs

The new year looks good for Southfield-based advertising agency GlobalHue - with big contracts on board, the agency is adding 100 new jobs company-wide, with 25 at the Southfield office and has created a handful of new companies within the corporate ranks.

Vice-chairman Sibyl Smith says the company is positioning itself to handle 2008's increased workload.

"We have a lot of new business wins that have occurred," she says. "We are increasing our staffing resources to accommodate this growth."

The company has another goal, she says - to cement its hold on the minority market. As part of the expansion, Smith says, the company has branded its divisions to focus on African-American, Latino, Asian Pacific Islander and multicultural markets.

"We've branded our expertise," she says. "We're a full-service, multicultural advertising agency."

GlobalHue's clients, according to the company website, include Verizon, Chrysler LLC, Chrysler Financial, Wal-Mart, Bermuda Department of Tourism, U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Navy, Internal Revenue Service and American Airlines.

Global Hue has five to six openings in every arm of the agency, Smith says, and is hiring immediately.
