Rave Computer doubles Michigan business revenue

Many businesses are looking outside of Michigan to find new revenue streams, but Rave Computer Association is finding all of the growth it can handle in the Great Lakes state.

The Sterling Heights-based computer company has doubled its Michigan-based revenue and made three hires over the last year. That has allowed it to maintain its staff at around 35 people. There are plans to hire 2-3 more later this year as in-state business grows.

"I see sustained growth," says Joe Borowicz, CFO of Rave Computer Association. "It won't be crazy, but it's growth."

Previously, the company received most of its work from out-of-state clients, such as service branches of the U.S. Military, OEMs, and other software companies. Offerings include servicing of laptops so they can be integrated with other small systems.

Rave Computer Association has done a lot of this work for the Air Force and Army's equipment, like Humvees. The company also is planning to do more in the civilian sector, such as working with CAT scan and CT machines.
