Ann Arbor SPARK is moving forward with its planned wet lab incubator space, and has received $375,000 in funding from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation for the project.

The University of Michigan will eventually be the main
leaseholder for the space. The university plans to sub-lease
space to Spark for the wet lab incubator, which will be
occupied by high-tech startup companies.
Compared with traditional lab space, wet labs have special
ventilation and climate control features and are costlier to
build.
