Despite tough economy Wayne County continues to offer Head Start opportunities

Wayne County families, despite the tough times, don't have to sacrifice education for their three to five year olds thanks to the Wayne County Head Start program.

Excerpt:

Head Start provides a variety of educational activities and health services at not cost and is considered to be America’s most successful early childhood learning program.  Studies show that early childhood education has a positive, lifelong impact on children and Head Start has been at the forefront of that movement for over 40 years.

Wayne County Head Start programs are located across the county, excluding Detroit that operates its own program.
