Immigration and Metro Detroit's future

On Monday, July 18 the New Michigan Media Conference: Immigration and Michigan's Economic Future, will be held at Wayne State University. Governer Snyder is the featured speaker and the event is free.

Excerpt:

"Michigan is at a crossroads. The Michigan recession of the 2000's was the nation's worst. As we develop strategies to reinvigorate our economy, the international community continues to provide one of the highlights of growth and energy. More recent efforts like the creation of a New Michigan Media network, as well as launching Global Detroit and Global Michigan, may put the region and state at the forefront of embracing the contributions of immigrants, ethnic groups, and the international economy. Your presence at the Monday, July 18 conference helps us all connect and collaborate to move this agenda forward."
