Top marks for Oakland County students

The children are the future and if they are coming out of Oakland County, the future looks pretty bright.

Excerpt:

"We're very proud of our students and staff," said Steven Gaynor, Bloomfield Hills schools superintendent.

"They work hard, day in and day out, to ensure that teaching and learning are the top priorities in our community. With the myriad pressing demands that we face educationally, and though MME is just one measure of success, we're gratified for the commitment shown by both students and instructional staff."

Oakland County students also excelled in the ACT portion of the exam, with an average composite score of 20, compared to the state composite of 18.8.

"This is the second year that all students statewide have taken the ACT portion of the MME, which gives students an indication of how they may do at the college level," said David Pruneau, Rochester Community Schools superintendent.
