eXtreme Science Saturdays begin in November at Lawrence Tech

Open to high schoolers of all ages, eXtreme Science Saturdays give you great hands-on experience using state-of-the-art equipment in a modern lab. You'll explore instrumental techniques, such as fluorescence and infrared analysis and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, and conduct separation analyses with Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography, and Thin Layer Chromatography. You'll also experiment with crime scene investigation techniques such as DNA fingerprinting.

eXtreme Science Saturdays, held between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, are totally free. And what's more, they include lunch and for dessert-the liquid nitrogen ice cream you'll make yourself. Now that's extreme! Each session is different, so choose one or more and reserve your spot today. Call 248.204.3600 or email nschair@ltu.edu. Hurry-space is limited.
