Paul Gabriel believes having an ice cream shop on the northwest corner
of 10 Mile and Meadowbrook roads is a tradition in the Novi community.
"This
has been an ice cream parlor for over 30 years and we have no intention
of changing that," said Gabriel, owner of Stuart's of Novi, which
opened last Thursday. "We've done a lot of work and cleaned up the
place, but we hope to keep the same family-friendly feel the place has
always had."
Paul's parents, Mike and Elaine Gabriel, have owned the
building since 1985, and initially bought the original ice cream shop,
Cone Zone, back in 1994 and opened it as Twist and Shake.
