Troy high school students design prom outfits for kids in need.

"A lot of people have to borrow dresses for the prom, but we are
giving this to someone who may not have that option," said 16-year-old
Monique, a junior.
The
girls' black-and-white, knee-length dress is to feature a lace-tiered
bottom like many of Johnson's dresses, and a strapless top.
The
girls are among 23 Troy High fashion students who began making 14
dresses Monday. They are to be donated to a yet-to-be chosen charity
and given to girls before prom season. Students are scheduled to finish
the dresses March 16.
