Lawrence Tech's popular robot parade is Nov. 22

Robots on parade! On Nov. 22, Lawrence Tech will be having their ever popular robot parade.

Lawrence Technological University will host its third annual Thanksgiving RoboParade, an indoor autonomous robot demonstration, 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 22, from in the Buell Management Building Cafeteria, 21000 W. 10 Mile, Southfield.

The event is free and open to the public.

The parade will feature robot floats constructed and programmed by middle school and high school students from throughout southeast Michigan. The fully autonomous robot floats will follow the mock Woodward Avenue parade route, with a traditional start at the "Orchestra Hall," and detect other robots in front of them. The robot floats are fully programmed to stop and start without human help along the parade route.
