Urban Science Applications Inc., automotive firms get MEGA tax incentives

MEGA tax incentives were given to the Detroit-based retail consultant Urban Science Applications Inc. to expand its business.

Detroit-based retail consultant Urban Science Applications Inc. received $2 million in tax incentives to expand its business in Detroit today.

As part of its expansion, the company will create 69 new jobs in Detroit over the next five years, according to information from the Michigan Economic Growth Authority.

The MEGA board today approved a high-technology employment tax credit for 10 years for the new 69 employees. The anticipated dollar amount of tax incentives is $2 million said Sandy Kuohn, vice president of human resources for Urban Science.
