Life science VC-ers gather in A2 on Monday to hear pitches

Ann Arbor SPARK gathered 30 life science venture capital firms -- about half from out-of-state -- to hear local start-up pitches on Monday, May 14.

"I think there's a lot of opportunity in the South and Midwest,'' said Christopher Sklarin, an associate with the venture capital firm Chrysalis Ventures, based in Louisville, Ky. "There are a lot of entrepreneurs here who know how to make money and fewer venture capital firms in the Midwest, so maybe less competition.''
