Logicorps on the path to 250% revenue growth, expands payroll

Successful businesses often start off small, struggle for a few years, gain some traction before they start to take off. Clinton Township-based Logicorps is at the latter end of that cycle.

The IT firm is experiencing tremendous growth as it gets ready to expand even further. For some perspective, Logicorps started in 1999 with the company's CEO, Scott Wiederhold, and a partner. In 2003 it had grown to five people. Today there are 41 employees and another five open positions. The company has expectations to hit 50 by the end of this year and hopes to break into a triple-digit employee count by the end of 2009.

Logicorps sales have skyrocketed, too. The firm logged $662,000 in sales in 2003. It hit a little over $4 million last year and hopes to break the $10 million barrier by the end of this year. It's also branching out further across the country, recently opening up an office in Iowa.

It's been able to do this by expanding the breadth of the services it provides. It originally started out as website development and hosting company. Today it does that, provides IT outsourcing services and builds web-based applications and ecommerce solutions.
