Onset Marketing gains traction, hires 4 in last 6 months

Onset Marketing is going through a bit of a growth spurt, hiring four people in the last six months and planning to add another 2-3 over the summer.

The Wixom-based firm does a lot of business-to-business telemarketing to generate sales leads in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, engineering, technology and software. The 12-year-old company has taken in more business over the last year, expanding its staff to 12 people.

"We'll continue to focus on our target marketing," says Jim Graziano, president of Onset Marketing. "We're getting a lot of traction there. We're also seeing interest from overseas firms looking to establish a presence in the U.S."

Onset Marketing also specializes in traditional marketing; one of its niches is helping companies expand into new industries.

"We do well with companies that have non-commodity style sales," Graziano says.
