Productions Plus–The Talent Shop signs 1,000 new clients

Productions Plus–The Talent Shop is adding employees while its owner is in line to start collecting awards.

The Bingham Farms-based talent agency has made three hires and signed 1,000 new clients (or talent, such as models) so far this year. It now employs 56, plus a couple of summer interns. It manages 15,000 talent clients. It's looking to add more employees in its theatrical and events divisions later this year.

This growth comes after the agency acquired another firm last year. It is now looking at more acquisitions, expanding its customer list, and growing the work from its current clients.

"We are looking at all three opportunities," says Margery Krevsky, owner and CEO of Productions Plus–The Talent Shop.

She is up for an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award for the diversification and management of her business of 29 years. The company has developed cosmetics and wardrobe lines for its talent and has 27 spas across the country.

Krevsky also wrote a book last year, Sirens of Chrome. The piece follows the story of auto show models and what they mean to both the modeling and auto industries.
