Rave Computer leverages modeling, simulation work to add staff

Rave Computer, formerly Rave Computer Association, has enjoyed a healthy bit of growth in recent years, and a significant portion of that is coming from new modeling, simulation and visualization work with Michigan firms.

"Our Michigan customer base has grown significantly," says Rick Darter, president and CEO of Rave Computer. "It continues to grow."

Darter points out that Michigan has a large contingent of companies that specialize in either modeling, simulation or visualization work. Not to mention the state has a deep pool of engineering and technical talent that can push this industry further forward and faster at that.

This rising trio of work has allowed Rave Computer to hire three people, expanding its staff to 37 employees and three independent contractors. The Sterling Heights-based firm expects to continue to add to its workforce.

"In 2012 that will continue to ramp up, especially in the manufacturing (computing integration) and technical sides," Darter says. "We see this huge opportunity that is here already."
