Traction Consulting Group hires 2 staffers, 2 interns for cloud work

Traction Consulting Group is riding high on the cloud computing wave, growing the Wixom-based business' bottom line and staff.

The 13-year-old firm hired two people and brought on two interns over the last year. It now has a staff of eight people and two interns and has an opening for a software developer. "We're always looking for a good developer," says Joe Wichowski, president of Traction Consulting Group.

Driving a lot of Traction Consulting Group's growth is the macro trend of businesses moving their IT operations from hardware to cloud computing. "Increasingly business owners are looking to contain IT costs," Wichowski says. "The cloud presents that opportunity to them."

Does that mean Traction Consulting Group's growth is limited by the cloud computing trend? Not so according to Wichowski. He believes there will also be need for tech consulting services to keep up with the ever-changing technology curve.

"For us the software is the tool," Wichowski says. "It's what you do with the tool that is your competitive advantage."
