Detroit Regional Chamber says interns are crucial to Michigan's future

Anyway, interns may hold the flashlights that will help guide us out of this tunnel.

And it seems like internships are an antidote to tough economic times.

That's why the Detroit Regional Chamber in March launched InternInMichigan.com, a site designed to offer college students temporary job opportunities within state borders.

The site has already attracted 3,000 student profiles, and some 350 businesses have posted more than 100 internships, DRC CEO Richard Blouse Jr. said this afternoon at the Mackinac Policy Conference.
