Chamber Music Society tunes up for new season

A full house is expected as the Farmington Hills-based Chamber Music Society of Detroit opens up for a new season.

The Chamber Music Society of Detroit is tuning up for a new season of world class performances, with full houses anticipated.

It's a rare success story in today's performing arts scene. And board member Paul Blizman, of Farmington Hills, is proud of that.

"The organization presents professional, high quality, well known groups," he said of the success of the chamber series, which opens its 66th season on Sept. 12. "The quality of the program is outstanding."

"A good board, excellent administration and loyal arts lovers" are other reasons he says that the Farmington Hills- based non-profit society is doing well. Audience and corporate support contribute to its financial stability in tough economic times, he said.
