Skidmore Studio, a Royal Oak creative firm was honored this week with three international marketing awards from the Davey Awards, an international competition recognizing successful and innovative approaches to design. From the Daveys, Skidmore received a gold award for a brochure series designed for E.C. Korneffel and silver awards for an annual meeting program for the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan as well as a Skidmore self-promotional piece.
The Davey Awards are a creative competition honoring small firms that display strength in atypical, innovative and intelligent ways of communicating with their audiences. According to Graham Korneffel, Vice President of E.C. Korneffel, the brochure series has been helpful in connecting with potential clients.
"The feedback we have received and the business generated speaks volumes about our experience with the Skidmore team," commented Korneffel. "The process of working with Skidmore to integrate our three different business entities into one brochure proved to be a great experience. And the finished product is something that we are very proud to share with potential clients."
Skidmore began creating innovative and challenging design and illustration in Detroit in the late 1950s and continues to work with Detroit's most respected advertising agencies and corporate clients. The studio offers its clients a comprehensive range of creative services including interactive design and programming, communication design and branding, communications planning, illustration and retouching.
