Birmingham is moving forward on planning for the Triangle District east
of Woodward. A two-day charette was held last week to generate ideas for the
70-acre site.

Brad Strader, a managing partner with LSL Planning, Inc., was hired by
the city to navigate the planning process. He's confident it's possible
to put a new face on the Triangle.
"There's a general impression with the property owners that a plan is
needed for the area," he said. "Something that can complement downtown
Birmingham rather than become merely an extension of the downtown."
